Cuba has long been a place that I am passionate about. I had been wanting to experience Cuba long before it was open to Americans. Reading about it throughout the years enticed me and had me super curious about it. When Obama opened it in 2017, I jumped at the opportunity. With a Lonely Planet book and map in hand, I set off with my daughter to explore this mysterious place, finally!

My solo trip to Banff in Alberta, Canada was a spur of the moment trip. I had visited this place during my drive from Chicago to Alaska over the summer and I was eager to see it in its winter glory. I had a week off before the holidays and I wanted to take advantage of the time off so I hopped on my computer and researched for deals and 8 hours later, I was on my flight to Canada!

Egypt is the ultimate bucket list location in my opinion. If you’ve been fascinated by the history, pharaohs, mummies, temples, hieroglyphics and of course, the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, do yourself a favor and put your deposit down on this magical place. What you’ve only read about in textbooks is such a surreal experience you won’t believe. It overtakes you. The feelings are indescribable.

Alaska has been my heart for years. If you know anything about me, you know how infatuated I am with it. I first went to Alaska as a travel nurse a few years ago and I continue to return for work and pleasure. I first arrived in Anchorage in December of 2021 on contract and explored on my own during my time off work.
